Highcharts Review

PROS: It has easy configuration, simple to use, and even provides simple script reference in HTML so you can easily start building. JSON charts are standard based and very easy to understand. The API and all examples are very useful. Highcharts gives you an ability to draw custom charts and ranging the charts, the overlays works fantastic.

CONS: They could improve some nested config.

PROS: Highchart allows us to do lot of things and I like that it allows us to write in Javascrip, to customize everything and it offers easy integration. It’s compatible with every web browser because it’s written in Javascript and this means that you don’t need to think twice when choosing this product for including charting capabilities. It has lot of charts that are great for expanding creativity and implementing them into website design.

CONS: Sometimes the text can overlap the chart lines and it can be really hard to read. In addition, if you use custom graphics it can be little complicated.

PROS: With Highchart we are able to do lot of things like being entirely written in javascript, customizing anything, allows easy integration. Because it’s written in javascript is compatible with any web-browser, and you don’t have to think twice for choosing this software when you need to include charting capabilities in your website. Highcharts offers great set of various charts so you can expand your creativity and implement it into your site design.

CONS: I have found that the text can overlap the chart-lines and because of this it can be hard for reading. Also, it can be a little complicated if you use custom graphics and support is a little non-existent. But, overall the product is great.

PROS: Highcharts allows you to plot lot of charts by using the library. It allows ranging from line graph to 3D scatter graph, and I’m sure you won’t find any reason why not to use the library. The tool is extremely simple, you can write down all your values and then put them into predefined graph and then the library will take care of everything else. The tool is highly customizable, and offers various demos in order to learn how to use it.

CONS: In my experience, the documentation is complicated. If you need to see the configuration of a single type of graph you have to click and open up multiple web-pages, and this is because that some graphs are with a configuration that other graphs are using it.

PROS: It is simple to use and it has simple configuration, there is simple script reference within HTML so you can easily start with the building. CONS: Nested configuration needs some improvements.

PROS: I love how powerful this tool is, it offers lot of configurations and I like that I can create any standard data visualization. Also, I like that the library is extensible and I can write custom plugin for everything I need. I can easily connect the library internals and I can do some fancy things on chart area.

CONS: The learning curve goes from novice to advanced Highchart users. You can find lot of information in StackOverflow posts.

PROS: I love the power of Highcharts, with its multiple configurations I am able to create any standard data visualization I can think of. The good thing is that the library is extensible so it allows me to write custom plugin in order to do whatever I want. It’s easy to connect the library internals and you can do some fancy things on chart area or on the plot. The tool is SVG based and this means that it offers great performance and functionality benefits.

CONS: What I don’t like is the fact that the learning curve goes from novice Highcharts to advanced Highcharts users. Lot of knowledge of the higher functionality can be found in StackOverflow posts or in some post on the 10th page of the search results.

PROS: Highchart help you to create lot of charts by using the library. I like that it allows line graph to 3D scatter graph. It is simple solution and you can write down all values and I can put them into predefined gaph and later the library will take care of everything else. It is customizable solution and it offers lot of demos and tutorials so you can easily learn how to use it.

CONS: The documentation is complicated and it requires going through several web pages in order to see the configuration of a single type of graph.
