PROS: I love that it handles scheduling, integrates with QuickBooks, and is available to estimators out in the field, and generally makes it very easy for us to stay on top of each stage of a job and each interaction with our customers. The reporting functions of the software are fantastic! It's very helpful to know the dollar amounts of scheduled work. Creating estimates is very easy and smooth.

CONS: I would say my least favourite thing about this platform is the learning curve. Because it is a niche software that is designed for arborists, there is no way around having to spend lots of time learning how to use it. However, once you are familiar with it, you will not ever want to go back!

PROS: Their mobile app and online interface is nicely done. Lots of powerful features that all arborist business needs. It is affordable, easy to view jobs and what status they are in which is always a huge advantage when it comes to keeping track of things.

CONS: They need to create a more sophisticated live online booking platform.

PROS: This platform is absolutely phenomenal at automating tasks. That alone has been a game changer, but that's 1% of what this app offers. There's not enough space on this form to detail even a fraction of its features. If you want a true "do it all" app, this is it.

CONS: I had to train the team on the ins and outs, but the platform is surprisingly intuitive for how much information is jam-packed in there.

PROS: I can sort tasks by priority, by job size, or by proximity, allowing me to manage projects easily and effectively to keep everyone happy. It's feature-rich, intuitive, and just makes things easier and more effective. I can get twice as much done with ArboStar than I could without it.

PROS: I was manually tracking and scheduling employees and they were manually logging their own hours. Jobber streamlines the whole process of dispatching, time tracking, and invoicing and exports the info to my QuickBooks. Excellent customer support as well.

CONS: I haven't had any issues with ArboStar for as long as I've used it. The customer support is excellent for anything I didn't understand about it.

PROS: Very helpful to our financial reporting and record keeping. The financial side of the app, which is only one facet of what the platform offers, is like an industry-specific QuickBooks, and also supports QuickBooks integration (and a bunch more) if that's what you need. Very helpful.

PROS: ArboStar has so many features and functions, and after playing with it, to get to know the software, very easy to use. And you can use it on your iPad, which is great with mapping apps and built in gps.

CONS: It takes a few tries to get to know the software, which it does with any new piece of equipment. Some of the excel reports might scare you at first, but they can be customized to fit your needs.

PROS: I love that I can leave notes for individual team members and track everyone's progress and see where we can re-organize team members or equipment to get the job done faster.

CONS: In order for my project management to be efficient, I need everyone on my team to use ArboStar and be responsive with communication and entering progress. So this can take a few meetings to make sure everyone is on the same page.

PROS: Makes my life easy. I can get more estimates done per day, instead of trying to remember and calculate the cost of a 2-man, 3-day job, plus equipment and taxes.

CONS: The initial prices do need to be imputed ahead of time, which only makes sense, and after that you're good to go for however many estimates your company needs. So I don't know if spending a bit of time at the start to save hundreds of hours of time in the future is a con, but it's all I can think of.

PROS: This app has made my workday a lot more straightforward. I punch in when I start working, and can see a live map of exactly what jobsite I'm working on, including a birds-eye satellite view with all the trees marked ahead of time by the estimator. I can also use the app to communicate via the app if I need anything from the office.

CONS: Took me a bit to get used to. Our company previously didn't use any software like this, but after a few weeks it feels like second nature now.

PROS: Makes on-site estimating simple. The price of each tool, man hour rate, vehicles, etc. can all be chosen ahead of time, and then you can just select what the job requires and it'll add it all up for you right then and there. Not only does this produce accurate estimates but it allows me to tell the client immediately what the situation is.

CONS: Took a bit of time to get used to how the app works, but I don't think ArboStar could have made it any easier, honestly. I'm just a bit slow with phones.

PROS: I've used ArboStar for over a year now. It really has become the lifeblood of how we do business. It is incredibly feature-rich and includes a plethora of modules, from accounting to estimating to analytics to customer service, the list goes on.

CONS: Nothing major. Over the past year, if I encountered a bug, I'd reach out and the customer service team would address it promptly. And none of the bugs were anything major, anyway.

PROS: I love the auto-estimate feature and the ability to quickly turn estimates into work orders. I also really find the GPS photo-tagging ability to be very convenient. Instead of trying to describe trees and locations, I can snap a photo, and it's tagged by its location so there's no confusion for the workers.

CONS: I had an initial issue on mobile, but I contacted the customer service team and they responded prompt and accurately, solving my issue. So really no complaints here.

PROS: ArboStar has a lot of ways that it can automate my daily tasks. This alone for me has been a game changer. I no longer have to send out each individual email and sms message to my clients, I no longer have to remember which invoices still need to be sent, and which clients I haven't spoken to in a while. Everything is done within the app and so much can be set up automatically. The app is also surprisingly easy to learn. Like I said, I'm more old-school in my approach, so I thought there might be a steep learning curve, but honestly within the first week of using the app I was already getting the hang of it. And I'd imagine someone even more tech-savvy than me could get into the swing of things even faster.

CONS: I really don't have anything to complain about. I'm wondering if there are more features that I don't even know exist, because I feel like I'm constantly discovering more that this app can do. Maybe I could do with some big documentation that can help to explain the potential of every feature.

PROS: I'm able to quickly and easily set up text and email messages and notifications to our clients with ease. There is a ton of functionality and customizability that allows me to keep our customers happy and engaged. The support tickets are populated within the app and can be answered quickly and easily without switching apps. Everything can be organized by countless filters.

CONS: So far I don't have a single bad word to say about the platform. I'll update this review if anything comes up, but it really has everything I need to do my job – a big step up from the software my team was using before.

PROS: Excellent report generation. It pulls financial data from the other modules and auto-populates the reports module with said data, allowing for easier and more accurate reports free from human error. This makes it a breeze to generate any and all reports that I think might be useful and might steer the company in a better financial direction. These reports have also shown us where we're overspending and where we can trim the fat to save on expenses.

CONS: Nothing to criticize. There were a couple of bugs (I was a fairly early adopter of the app), but these were taken care of within the first week that we started using the software and weren't anything major anyway.

PROS: App has made my job a lot easier. I show up on site, and there's GPS-tagged pictures of the trees with descriptions of what exactly needs doing. No more second-guessing if I'm removing the wrong tree. Now I can just show up on site and do the job. It also makes it super easy to contact other team members as well as keep track of all our vehicles. Very pleased with this app.

CONS: I'm not a tech-guy at all. I'm lucky if I can get Netflix to work. So I was a little unhappy at first when we were told we had to start using this software. But honestly, it didn't take too long to learn, and now it makes my job way easier. So if you're like me and don't like fancy apps, don't worry. Everything is laid out in a way that makes sense, and I'm shocked at how easy it was to get familiar with. Now it's like second-nature to me.

PROS: This app makes it a breeze to send messages to potential and current clients. No more messing with calendars and schedules trying to figure out when to send messages to which customer. Everything can be automated to send my texts and emails to whom I want, when I want. Makes my life a whole lot easier, and that's a pro in my book! It also allows my customers to communicate back to ME in a very easy way. It has an intuitive ticket system that allows me to see all potential issues, and respond to them in the order they came in.

CONS: No current issues. I did have one bug involving the ticket resolution service, but I brought it up to ArboStar and it was fixed within 24 hours.

PROS: Previously, our company only used catch-all software that was designed to handle every industry. I never knew that the same type of software is out there for the tree-care industry. Making the switch was great, as having software specific to the tree-care niche gives us access to tools we didn't previously have. Things like fleet management and HR issues are obviously specific to the tree-care industry, so having software that's specific to those issues allows us to be so much more efficient. Issues can be handled right in the app, and the fleet management module is particularly useful compared to our previous software.

CONS: As with any new technology, there's a learning period that you have to go through to truly become comfortable with the software. I used my old software for many years, so at first I was hesitant to switch. PROS: I love the auto-estimate feature. It learns what types of estimates you have made in the past, and auto-suggest an estimate that you can tweek if you find it too high or too low. This has taken a lot of the guesswork out of the situation, as often the estimate is dead-on. The pipeline from initial estimate to work orders is also very efficient. Once I confirm an estimate, I can send it right over in the app and it just moves down through the system. It's a really effortless interface and makes things easy.

CONS: I suppose the only con would be if you wanted to use this app for a different field. It is specifically designed for the arborist niche, so make sure you keep that in mind. My friend runs a painting company, and while I wish I could suggest this to him, it just is too specific to the tree care industry. But if you deal with trees, this is the app you want!

PROS: Better than QuickBooks. For any people in accounting out there, that's basically all I need to say! This app makes everything so much more streamlined: invoicing, payments, record-keeping, you name it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I was asked to switch to this app, but after the first week I was sold..

CONS: Nothing to really complain about. Sometimes I get a bit confused with where certain features are located, but I can refer to the documentation to sort that out. I also have only been using the software for a few months now, and the more I use it, the less confused I get, which is always a good sign!

PROS: Very streamlined, which in the customer service world, is absolutely everything. PROS: As a fieldworker, i will say that ArboStar has one of the best mobile apps that you will find out there. The interface is top-notch, clean, and easy to navigate. You can log in once you are at the job site and log out when you are done. It also shows your schedules and gives you the opportunity to communicate with office employees.

PROS: It saves me so much time, it allows the estimators to do estimates right form their devices in the field instead of texting me and having me type them up. We actually tried Servsuite first, and ArboStar is hands down a better company and software program!

CONS: The only con I can find is length to fix glitches only because we use it all day long, but they ALWAYS fix the problem. Also glitches are so far and few between its not a big deal.

PROS: I love that it handles scheduling, integrates with QuickBooks, and is available to estimators out in the field, and generally makes it very easy for us to stay on top of each stage of a job and each interaction with our customers. The reporting functions of the software are fantastic! It's very helpful to know the dollar amounts of scheduled work. Creating estimates is very easy and smooth.

CONS: I would say my least favourite thing about this platform is the learning curve. Because it is a niche software that is designed for arborists, there is no way around having to spend lots of time learning how to use it. However, once you are familiar with it, you will not ever want to go back!

PROS: Arbostar has a ton of useful modules and features, and they seem to be constantly adding more. I love the real-time lead display that shows up instantly on my phone. The app connects to my phone's GPS, meaning if I'm in the area I can easily check out potential job sites the moment the customer needs something. PROS: This software is incredibly powerful! I can create estimates and send them to our clients anytime, anywhere. I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t have to spend much time writing estimates because the system has a feature to create a template so you can just modify it for each customer. I can also send the estimate to the client by email using the system! How it works is just so amazing plus the people who are working for Arbostar are very reliable. They are always working on developing new features with new technology.

CONS: The customer service is reliable and they help me whenever I need their assistance.
