Flexible Remote Access

Instant Housecall provides IT specialists with two ways to access customers’ computers remotely and deliver the technical support they need. One of which is through on-demand remote access. In this type of remote access, IT specialists can only access customers’ computers for remote support if they are invited by customers. After a remote support session is completed, you won’t be able to connect to the customer’s computer anymore. 

The other type of remote access you can use is called unattended remote access. With this, you can repeatedly access customers’ computers any time you want even if customers are not in front of those computers. However, you need to ask the first one-time permission from customers to enable this kind of access.

In addition, Instant Housecall offers a feature that gives a restriction on how unattended remote access is implemented. This feature allows IT specialists to access the customer’s computer within a period of 12 hours, beginning from the time the customer initiated the remote support session. The customer can leave the computer unattended during this time period. SMS notifications are also sent out to IT specialists to remind them of customers awaiting support.
