Microsoft OneNote is a note-taking application, is designed to allow users to create, sync and store ideas and notes through different devices. You no longer require manual note taking or scribbling of ideas, OneNote is the ultimate solution to simplify the note taking process. While you use your brain to manifest ideas, OneNote organizes the information and store it for good.
It comes with certain interactive features which allow users to engage with their content. Users can drag images or files, record audio, and video notes, draw sketches and choose page templates for customization. It can be conveniently used across web and mobile devices which enable users to access OneNote from their comfort or work zones. Its processing standards comply with the overall standards of Microsoft, which makes it reliable to use.
Show MoreOneNote offers amazing features to its users who are inclined to save their ideas or take notes. It takes the form of an online notebook where everything can be placed without any glitch. Be it audio or video files, be it sketches of drawings or be it online links – everything gets saved in this centralized place. The multimedia stays organized in the application for as long as you want. If you need a further organization of your content, then it creates pages, subpages, sections and headings or simply separate notebooks for different purposes or to guide you through your notes. You can do that with the graphic tags which are used to simplify chunks of information. Such as tags of ‘to do list’ can help you stack relevant information at one place.
OneNote also allows for collaboration through its note taking platform. It offers powerful tools through which pages, notebooks or sections can be shared with team members on real time basis. It prevents the need for emailing content again and again. The freestyling content format makes it interactive for the team members to work and share their ideas and form storyboards through OneNote.
It is password protected, so you don’t have to worry about the security of close-to-your-heart notes or ideas or other confidential information. OneNote offers the reliability and security that you are looking for.
Show MoreBearing in mind companies have distinctive business-related demands, it is prudent that they avoid going for an all-in-one, “perfect” business program. Nonetheless, it is nearly futile to pinpoint such application even among branded software systems. The best thing to do would be to shortlist the numerous essential factors that need investigation like important features, price plans, technical skill capability of the employees, organizational size, etc. The second step is, you should follow through the research comprehensively. Go over some Microsoft OneNote analyses and check out each of the applications in your list more closely. Such detailed research guarantees you stay away from unsuitable software products and choose the system which offers all the features your business requires.

PROS: OneNote is my go-to solution for everything from virtual whiteboarding to old school note-taking and from drafting emails to brainstorming with my team members.
CONS: And what I don’t like is that sometimes OneNote and Word are not related 100%. There are some features that exist in Word and cannot be found in OneNote. They could include the features and plugins that are missing within the tool.

PROS: I love how I get to keep track of all my notes in a single location. The tabs help organize things and having the option to color them is a plus. Navigation situated on both sides have also been of big help.
CONS: It took some time to figure out how to get the hang of it. I'm still in the middle of learning it, but I'm slowly getting used to its functions. I learned that it can do way more than what I would normally use it for. Still, I press further with researh and continuing using OneNote.

I love you how you can store a number of pages, tabs, and notebooks with this software as this makes it simple to seek out what you need.
CONS: There's really nothing to hate with application. To be honest, it made things a lot simpler and speedier fo me. I get to benefit from how my notes are synced in real-time.

PROS: I find it easy to move in between my notes and tabs. I love how all the notes within the notebook are easily visible in a few clicks without any loading. It's one reason why I prefer OneNote over Evernote or Google Drive. It's simple to nest and collapse notes within the parent note without getting too complex.
CONS: Not having the ability for switching the default font styles. Areas of content in the note itself is somehow how. I feel the app should look into how other apps like it lets users move their content around. I wish it cam with Trello integration. I constantly use Trello for managing tasks and OneNote for jotting down notes. It would be a plus if a note from OneNote can be attached to a Trello card.
A recommended app in middle schools.

PROS: OneNote gives me the ability to save and save work. The app does a good job in letting multiple users look into and edit material simultaneously. It's now possible to embed mages, hyperlinks, and documents to other docs and online sites. You can even create workbooks via the tabs.
CONS: It took a bit of time to get used to the app before completely knowing the ins and outs of its functionality and features. The learning curve isn't as simple or easy to carry out like that of Word or other widely-used docs.

PROS: When I started using OneNote I didn’t really use all its features in order to keep my thoughts, research and important emails. Finally, I figured out how this tool works and I started using all its features on a daily basis so I can organize my things across every device. It keeps me organized like in old ways: keeping the papers in a notebook.
CONS: It crashes and I don’t know why and how to recover the lost book. It takes some time to understand how to update it so you can save the book you need, for this reason they could improve the sync.

PROS: Microsoft Onenote is perfect solution for sharing notes from meetings in a simple way. I like the interface because it makes the app to look nice. Also, I like that it is a Microsoft’ program and it apploies microsoft word to the cloud and this means that the inforamtion is saved automatically and it can be seen by other without sharing it again. The support team is great and whenever I run into some issue they are always ready to help.
CONS: Some things within the program can be difficult to use, like you cannot retrive a deleted not. Also, sometimes it takes some time to update while people are working on it.

PROS: I like the fact that I can sync my notes to a majority of my devices in a readable manner. It makes the process centralized and is already part of my current subscription with Office. This makes it available at my fingertips and I can view things the way I'd normally jot down things in my notepad or notebook.
CONS: When you're running Windows 10, you get a universal version of OneNote. But when you include OneNote 2016 with Microsoft Office, it failed to override the pre-installed version leaving me to go through a hassle process in order to get things to function. I find this a pai and I feel it could be embedded within the installer for the setting to be modified.

PROS: What I like about OneNote is the fact that it allows me to create offline notes and it has grat tree-structure . The formatting functions are great sometimes limited but they do the job. Also, it provides options for recording video, audio, screen-shooting and painting directly into the app.
CONS: There is no way to provide access to separate notes only to the notebooks. Also, creating tables is not an intuitive process as well. It is great app for big notes but not for to-do or shop lists. The mobile version is weak, they could improve it as well.

PROS: Having the ability to own multiple notebooks with pages and chapters make it a critical tool for every office desk. Now you can do away with your notebook to prepare or take notes before or during meetings. It allows you to include tables and images to make your content a lot meaningful. Tag and Clip, and Task options are useful to mark critical items in your notes. The tool's color-coded scheme also adds a nice overall functinality.
CONS: So far, OneNote has helped me in many ways more than what I've ever imagined. It would be a bonus if there are more options for formatting fonts or other things in general.

PROS: I’m using OneNote on Mac, and it provides outluine capabilities so you can better organize your notes . The space is well-organized in pages, sections and books and menus and ribbons are easy to navigate. I like tha6t I can work on same notebooks on my Mac and iPad.
CONS: First of all, I like this tool and its functionality and attention to details but there are some cumbersome keyboard shortcats especially when it comes to navigating between pages. There is no double-clicking a word and dragging the cursor to expand the selection in a word units, and the lack of this feature is frustrating.

PROS: I love how I no longer need to lose notes or not worry about what I jotted down since the legal pad is situated behind the desk. Streamlining OneNote with OneDrive would mean your notes are constantly synced wherever and whenever you are. The app's design is similar to that of a notebook. Switching sections and moving between one PC to another to any mobile device are effortless.
CONS: It'd be nice if OneNote is a bit more seamless in including reminders or tasks to other mobile devices. If you happen to be using Outlook on a desktop PC, you can include tasks to Outlook straight from the app and they're automatically linked. But when I use Mac or a mobile device, I have no option or whatsoever in adding a task.

It's as if we're working on a digital 3-ring brinder with the added ability to move e-mails, snap pics with a mobile app, and make screen clippings.
CONS: To be honest. There's nothing much to dislike with OneNote. It does an incredble job catering to the needs of our business. So far, it's been an excellent tool for us!
