PROS: Using TFS as part of our project development process, we achieved easy management and control of branch code associated with MS Visual Studio. Once a new piece is attached, other team members get updates immediately, and we can track any changes through the change set. Unauthorized access is also prevented—only those who have permissions can access the codes. And since the changes are easily tracked, we can easily see and compare the previous and updated version. Such an amazing tool.
CONS: The fact that this is one of Microsoft’s products and it is integrated with Visual Studio, anyone could expect a slightly expensive cost.

PROS: What I like most in this software is the comparison feature where I can compare the old code and the new code. This application is efficient and great for checking in code.
CONS: The TFS exe does not have a comparison feature. It is quite tedious because I had to install another app for comparing TFS exe versions. Every type of language should have this feature.

PROS: Easy to allocate tasks and responsibilities, has share point integration. Works well with other Microsoft products.
CONS: looking up logs takes a lot of work and time. Could be better if they have a simpler way of accessing logs.

PROS: Convenient as it can be used as software and even just in the browser. I can use it in different tasks: saving search queries, logging bugs, making tests, creating user stories, and build deployment. Their support team is really helpful.
CONS: The UI is a bit tricky especially after the update but overall it is a really functional application.

Ease of Use
PROS: We utilize the Team Foundation Server for version control of our projects. The app has a user-friendly interface and can be incorporated with our visual studio, which is a plus.
CONS: Lacks intuitive placement of tools for a version control application. We do admit that it is not the best choice application but it is a great alternative for what we do as it gets the job done.

Ease of Use
PROS: TFS is easy to use and it comes with good user interface, which makes it convenient to check in and check out on the server. Whether the files are in SQL or c# formats, we can easily make a set of modified scripts and save them in one shelve set, making it easier for other authorized developers on our team to access the file. It allows us to generate a work item for every developer and include it to change set. Even better, we can track the change set and see the modified items.
CONS: I am having a little trouble with branching in the system. I need to plan the structure carefully before doing the branching in TFS. Creating shortcuts is a bit an issue also and I need to search for the key-value online to set the key shortcuts.

Ease of Use
PROS: What I like most about this software is the easy branching and merging. Also, it has shelve set, change set, and work item features. With this system, we can complete the task code efficiently and easily. It is easy to characterize the security jobs on different branches as well.
CONS: Due to the nature of the system, it takes much time for us to fully understand and master its advanced features. But as time goes on, everything works smoothly for us.

Ease of Use
PROS: Besides robust integration with Visual Studio, TFS also comes with features that make maintenance and control of branch code seamless. As a project administrator, I can manage all the codes efficiently and grant other developers in my team access so they can sync their work. Plus, TFS creates change set history, where we can track changes and compare previously changed codes with the latest version. Also, we can set up to allow a certain user to check-in code to a particular branch through the system’s access control policy.
CONS: It takes time for the system to respond at some point, especially when the branch included a database that requires regular deployment.

Ease of Use
PROS: Team Foundation Server is a secure and fast platform. Check-ins from different machines can be pipelined to the platform, and every check-in can be transferred to a lower environment for a more streamlined workflow once the code is checked-in from the visual studio to Team Foundation Server. Additionally, the control of versions is an easy task with this software. And once the changeset causes problems with the development, you can easily revert the previously executed build without any trouble.
CONS: I noticed that Team Foundation Server has some limitations when it comes to visual studio, and it takes a lot of configuration processes when you need to control versions and do some branching.

Ease of Use
PROS: Through a robust integration with visual studio, this software makes code management and maintenance easy. It allows us to access, update, and change codes without any trouble. With it, we can seamlessly compare the changed codes with the latest version of the script file. Maintaining the branch is made easy as well since we can track all change history using TFS.
CONS: The only issue I encountered with it is that it runs slow whenever the size of the branch is a bit overwhelming, and when I am publishing database news via TFS. But this small drawback won’t affect the benefits it provided.

PROS: I like that TFS is an easy to maintain system for developers like me. The development process is easy in source control, and the deployment in the server is seamless. We can easily generate a new branch when needed by the main project.
CONS: I wish that TFS is integrated more with another online tool such as IDE—and not just with Visual Studio.

Ease of Use
PROS: As a software shipping, work monitoring, and code sharing system, TFS has proved to be an all-in-one solution for any project development efforts. It is an integrated solution that lets users collaboratively develop projects of all sizes.
CONS: I think the app needs more improvement on merge functionalities. Maybe adding a notification feature could be better, especially when the first user locks the workspace, and the other user needs to check-in in there to continue doing the project. It can help by sending an unlock request to the first user.
