Igloo Software Review

PROS: Igloo site and layout is very convenient to customize and use. And Igloo also has a trusty user support and services that is largely helpful for us.

CONS: We could have received better assistance during the setting up phase of Igloo in our company, in which we need to customize the layout of the site. Now, we’ve noticed that what we’ve set up is quite inconvenient for use, and it features some stuff that we do not need. We feel we could have been more productive if we have done the setting up phase properly. Adding to the problem is the fact that we cannot afford another deal from Igloo as of now, so we cannot implement big changes to what we already have.

PROS: Setting up our account is super easy, such as classifying members according to permission access, building new environments, as well as for teamwork management of events and trainings on the calendar. Also, it has established a systematic signing-in option for all our Microsoft products, so we do not need to worry about messy logins all over the organization. This is a great intranet solution that suits our demands well.

CONS: Its document collaboration feature needs huge improvements. Yes, we can add multiple members to edit a document, but Igloo only allows one person to make the edits each moment. Its competitors are better on this angle.

PROS: Igloo reliably serves a multitude of purposes in our company and for various units. It is perfect for internally or externally sharing info, data, reports, files and projects. Thus, we can share information regarding management, conferences and trainings easily. Setting schedules is also easier on the platform.

CONS: We haven’t settled on the best web layout while setting up the platform for our company. Fast forward to today, we have realized that our dashboard has unnecessary elements, and they make the layout quite messy to use. We hope for better features that we should have incorporated on our layout for better functionalities. Sadly, we cannot purchase more packages from Igloo to cater our needs today.

PROS: Igloo is a topnotch app and it has a high quality user support. They’ve guided us from start to finish when we have reset our intranet before. They are always highly responsive and helpful on any issues each day we use Igloo as well.

CONS: There’s no significant point that I dislike about Igloo. It is a terrific platform that we’ve been using for a long time. During those years, we’ve noticed that Igloo values user feedbacks for improving the product efficiently. We can leave comments and suggestions on a provided online board, and we feel that they closely consider everything we present.

PROS: Igloo boasts seamless profile creation, interface navigation and instant access to data among other features. The UI is very flexible that makes it easy to do tweaks, and it promotes interaction that compels members to use the tool. Creating and editing user accounts cause no hassles, since it is easy for members to personalize their own such as customizing panels, directories, notifications and list of tasks among other. The platform serves us in various functions too, which includes communication, repository and directory among other purposes. It easily handles announcements, updates, notes and some other details, and it allows people to leave comments too. Then, it also supports emailing, sharing of files and schedules, managing lists of tasks, as well as social media integration among many other functions. Moreover, it lets us easily find different items through stellar searching features. And if those are not enough, Igloo also boasts large storage spaces that runs on servers in Canada. It has reputable security features too, which mainly circles on setting authorization access to members from in and outside our organization. Lastly, Igloo is more affordable than other options today, and is backed by quickly responding user support.

CONS: Functions sometimes fail to run automatically, and it pushes us to manually make edits on the page or site manager. Controls and options on the channels are difficult to learn, thus we demand detailed tutorials or guides for it. Same goes with the complex processes of handling licenses in user account creation, since we experience problems creating various accounts such as specifically for producers or for viewers. The cascading rule is also insufficient for our knowledge management needs. Other problems include the search engine leaving public sites off the results page, problems syncing with social media platforms, lack of convenient image gallery, as well as its incapacity to post multiple images with similar tags at once.

PROS: Igloo is an efficient solution in our company every day. It is easy to train newbies into the platform, then they can immediately start using it for sharing info among other tasks. It seems similar to popular social media sites too, only that it is geared for better productivity at work. Igloo supports efficient assigning and distribution of tasks, as well as sharing business-related data among employees.

CONS: Igloo is not a powerful platform for managing projects. For instance, it is insufficient for planning new tasks, and we feel it doesn’t handle schedules on calendars very well. It doesn’t feature quality visual presentations too.

PROS: Automated and speedy site and page layout management. You can easily shape Igloo as well, so it would meet small or large demands in each specific projects. Igloo also has a dependable storage feature for all files that authorized members can access anytime, and it offers a shared space where a group can easily collaborate. Moreover, the tool continuously receives improvements that boosts its performance, which is great for satisfying all users.

CONS: More and better options for personalizing webpage designs would be great. Also, a sort of ability to assign personalized email ID to each subfolders in the storage would boost file handling.

PROS: I love Igloo’s File Management, also I love the Integration Features with different features, and the ability to send email and to get one answer, helps me to send question for whole gathering and to get multiple responses.

CONS: I wish there would be better integration with Microsoft Office. And about Connections I wish they are more organized into day by day activities. Users get false information for the contrast between memberships.

PROS: I love the design and usability of Igloo features, their support team is always ready to help even though you can learn it by yourself by simply exploring the sections. You can use your brand on theme customization. Another wonderful thing is that you can redistribute your modern intranet on cloud (SaaS) and to start within a few minutes. Thanks to the external integrations, you can join your cloud storage services with Dropbox and e-mail, so you can enhance the collaboration between users. You can even try free trial version before you decide to buy.

CONS: If you don’t have any experience with CSS you will probably face with some issues while working on theme customization. The costs per user may increase and this may be a problem for some companies.

PROS: The Company where I’m working now already has Igloo before I started. Thing is, I’ve had a very efficient experience learning the platform. They have complete tutorials and other guides, as well as they offer seamless professional training.

CONS: I need to undergo one regular training session each month for Igloo, and this somehow affects my working schedule in the company. It is a good thing, however, that they remind about my schedule ahead of time. This gives me enough time to get my hands on necessary modules.

PROS: Igloo software is very practicable and easy to use. I can easily set up my intranet by simply filling some information into the fields, and then, I add members and groups and I can start with customization on my profile. You have wonderful features to improve your team communication and collaboration. You are able to schedule meetings, share files, create forums and control all the tasks with your team. The good thing is that you can always change the CSS code, colors, footer, header etc. In free versions of Igloo you have limit to 10 users, 10GB of storage and space for 3 teams, this is enough for small groups.

CONS: You can only choose between English and French, they need to add other languages. If you use free version SAML and LDAP are not available. Even though you have limited free version the price is high. If you have big team you have to pay per user every month. Also, they need to add more graphical features.

PROS: Igloo is an outstanding software, their design and implementation is excellent, their customer team is supportive and responsive, always ready to help. Even though we have recently started using it, my team and I are quite impressed with Igloo.

CONS: We didn't find any major issues with the software. Our overall experience has been really positive so far.

PROS: With Igloo I can now collaborate and work on the projects with my team members no matter the time zones, we can solve problems and communicate in real time. With other software I have used I spent so much time juggling numerous app, but this is not the case with Igloo, thanks to their streamline and organization. Easy to share data and news between members.

CONS: It would be great if they can include communication and have face time within my personal space.

PROS: Once you are familiar with the design and page association everything becomes easy. You can use Forum to get some support and sharing info from other members of my team. I love the ability to group source questions inside my team.

CONS: I have struggle with companies who want to avoid paying in cash for the product.
