Pulseway Review

Pulseway
Our score: 8.2 User satisfaction: 100%

What is Pulseway?

Pulseway is a mobile monitoring and management solution that includes a system agent, a web-based interface, and a mobile app that enables you to monitor and manage your Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. And you can do all that from a tablet or from a phone without using remote connectivity protocol or remote control software like RDP, VNC and others.

Overview of Pulseway Benefits

Pulseway is robust, user-friendly mobile system monitoring and management suite. It provides awesome capabilities that are great for asset management, infrastructure management, and application performance management (APM). Users get a very modern and intelligent user experience whatever device or platform they use. With each mobile app, users are given complete access to all the system’s functionalities. Pulseway supports quick connections to users either on-premise or via cloud deployed systems.

Unlike other remote monitoring and management software, Pulseway is mobile-first. Every action that Pulseway is capable of, can be performed immediately straight from any smartphone or tablet.

Immediate alerts notify you via push notification or email, and you are able to resolve those issues long before anyone notices there was an issue at all.

Pulseway is the only RMM solution that is pro-active rather re-active.

What Problems Will Pulseway Solve?

Scenario 1

At dinner you receive an alert that one of your IIS servers is not responding to requests.

Pick up your mobile phone, open the Pulseway app, tap the system you wish to manage, select Terminal (cmd window), issue IISRESET, tap Send, and your IIS process stops and restarts restoring your service in under one minute. It doesn’t matter whether you’re on a WiFi connection or using your phone’s cellular network, responses from your systems are in real-time. If enabled, you can also manage your IIS servers graphically to start, stop, restart web sites and application pools.

Scenario 2

You and your spouse decide to go window-shopping, when you remember that you forgot to apply a security update to one of your Windows systems.

You open your Pulseway app, select the forgotten system, scroll down to and select Windows Updates, tap Check for Updates, confirm the check, continue looking at clothes while your system performs the check, after a few minutes you apply the updates and return focus to your shopping experience. Even if your phone locks, the app is still open and everything works in the background for you. You don’t have to wait for a lengthy process to finish before putting your phone back into your pocket. Unlock your phone and check progress as opportunity permits.

Scenario 3

You receive a call just as you’re leaving for the day from a junior system administrator who needs your assistance with unzipping and untarring a piece of software downloaded from a vendor.

While waiting for your subway to arrive, you open the Pulseway app, tap the Linux system he called you about, open the Terminal, issue the correct tar command to unzip and untar the software package, and text your coworker to tell him that the task is complete. You have full access to all system commands and you’re operating at the command line of that system in Linux, Mac, or Windows.

Pulseway Position In Our Categories

Knowing that businesses have their own business-related needs, it is only rational that they steer clear of paying for a one-size-fits-all, “perfect” software system. Regardless, it would be difficult to chance on such an app even among widely used software products. The clever thing to undertake can be to shortlist the varied significant functions that necessitate careful thought including key features, budget, skill competence of staff, business size, etc. After which, you must do the product research comprehensively. Go over some Pulseway analyses and check out the other software solutions in your shortlist in detail. Such all-encompassing research ensure you drop mismatched applications and select the one which offers all the aspects you require business requires to realize efficiency.

Pulseway is one of the top 100 Customer Support Software products

Pulseway is also listed in the following subcategories:

It's important to keep in mind that virtually no service in the Customer Support Software category is a perfect solution able to meet all the goals of various business types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few Pulseway Customer Support Software reviews first as specific services can excel only in a very small set of applications or be designed with a really specific type of industry in mind. Others can work with a goal of being easy and intuitive and as a result lack complex elements needed by more experienced users. You can also find services that focus on a large group of customers and provide a rich feature set, however this frequently comes at a more expensive price of such a service. Ensure you're aware of your requirements so that you choose a software that provides specifically the features you search for.

PROS: Its compatibility with all mobile devices makes it reliable and available for your needs. You can install and set it up with ease and without coming across any major issues. Its monitoring and notification functions make it convenient for you to keep track of your hardware and know when something is wrong. It keeps everything on the move while you can know issues as they happen and find a solution on time.

CONS: The product does not have much to dislike about. However, the fact that its dashboard is windows only makes it difficult for mac users. It can be frustrating when you want to use the dashboard and you have a mac device.

PROS: The tool allows you to get notifications on your mobile phone with the help of the mobile app. You do not have to be at the office to know that there is a problem with the system. The notifications come with alert levels to help you decide on the urgency of the issue. For example, if you are not in the office and the issue is not as urgent, you can wait until you get to the office to have it fixed. It allows for customization and monitoring of your hardware. You can also check the disk storage and what is left and the temperature level.

CONS: The payment criterion did not make sense. I have to pay for multiple computers even for those using the same server. It only makes sense when you are using different servers but for workstation or home computers, it should be free up to a certain number of computers after paying for a single computer.

PROS: It is mobile enabled, which means you have control at your disposal on the go. It has a real-time monitoring feature that allows you to monitor issues in both your hardware and software. This helps to deliver quality services to customer as you can have the problem fixed before your clients can call for support.

CONS: There is a lot to desire about Pulseway. However, they need to improve on the language part of it. They need to develop the product in multiple languages as there are some people who would want to use it but they do not understand the English language.
