What is Axon Virtual PBX?

Axon Virtual PBX is a complete and scalable VoIP-based PBX software designed for call centers and businesses of all sizes. The IP PBX system is developed by NCH Software, a leading provider of audio, video, dictation, and business technology solutions and applications. The software company offers a suite of telephony software programs, and Axon Virtual PBX is a part of it.

Axon Virtual PBX can be installed on computers that are running the Windows operating system. It utilizes the features and capabilities of the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology, functioning as a phone switch that routes calls to phone lines and extensions.

The IP PBX software can handle calls which are being transmitted through up to 64 telephone lines, and users can add as many extension lines as they want. The phone system is equipped with the standard features that are found in a typical PBX phone system such as the capability to transfer calls, put calls on hold, and record calls.

Furthermore, Axon Virtual PBX  delivers an add-on that enables users to automatically dial phone numbers and make outbound calls. Last but not least, the VoIP-based PBX software can be combined with the other telephony applications from NCH software.

Overview of Axon Virtual PBX Benefits

Predictive Dialer Add-On

One of the noteworthy features offered by Axon Virtual PBX is its powerful predictive dialer called Axon Agent, an add-on that allows call center agents and business professionals to automatically dial phone numbers and launch outbound calling campaigns.

This predictive dialer can be used by various types of call centers, contact centers, and businesses. Whether they are handling outbound calls, supporting customers through a service center, keeping in touch with political constituents, or running a charity that needs to reach out to donors; Axon Agent will surely speed up their outbound call processes and campaigns.

Automatically Launch Outbound Calling Campaigns

Axon Agent permits users to create and launch outbound dialing and calling campaigns. A campaign is made up of a calling list or a list of contact numbers; agents who will make the outbound calls, and scripts which are premade talking points that guide agents as they talk with customers and persons whose phone numbers are included in the calling list.

Thus, as campaigns are launched, the predictive dialer automatically dials the numbers appearing on the calling list. It will also keep a record of all outbound calls that have been completed including the conversions made through such calls; and while a dialing campaign is active, users can add agents to it anytime.

Play Time-Sensitive On-Hold Music And Messages

Axon Virtual PBX can be enhanced by a software application from NCH Software which is designed to play music and messages while calls are being placed on hold or transferred. This software application is called IMS Telephone On-Hold Player. What’s great about this is that it lets users set up on-hold music and messages that are sensitive to dates. This means users will be able to schedule dates that define which music or messages will be played automatically.

Having the capability to store and play audio files with high quality, the on-hold music and message player helps organizations and businesses send strategic reminders, launch marketing campaigns, and deliver professional announcements to customers.

Activate Video Call Functionality On Softphones

Another powerful feature available in Axon Virtual PBX is its video call functionality which can be enabled on VoIP softphones or IP video phones. Thus, right straight from their computer, users will be able to call another computer and see the person they are talking with using their webcam. This can be used for video conferencing and other important online meetings.

Voicemail Box For Every Extension

Axon Virtual PBX permits users to add as many extensions as they want. Interestingly, the VoiP-based PBX software assigns a voicemail box for each extension that they are going to add. Because a voicemail box is dedicated to every agent or employee, voicemail messages can be easily organized, accessed, and heard; giving users the ability to prioritize voicemail messages and the tasks associated with them, and focus on the more important ones.

Easy-To-Use Web-Based Control Panel

The IP PBX system delivers a web-based control panel that streamlines the way users configure the system to handle the operations of their call center and manage call processes. Systems administrators, IT managers, and team leads can take advantage of the features of this control panel which they can easily access and operate. Also, they can access the control panel even if they are not in front of their computers.

PROS: Axon doesn’t have a steep learning curve and can be adopted easily by my staff. I like that I can easily present and implement the software with the entire team in the company.

CONS: It seems that the software doesn’t come with so many features that my company needs. Also, finishing tasks takes time.
