What is Alchemer?

Alchemer is a flexible survey and Voice of the Customer (VoC) platform that enables more efficient data collection and analysis for businesses. Formerly known as SurveyGizmo, the platform offers three levels of survey capabilities (from basic to advanced), pre-configured surveys, workflows, and feedback collection tools that can help teams get the information needed from internal and external sources.

One of the advantages of using Alchemer for survey needs across the company is that IT can provide centralized guardrails to protect the organization and its data. Mozilla does this for all of its surveys and can remove all PII (personally identifiable information) centrally to protect the company and its users.

In addition to the three levels of survey standard products, Alchemer offers preconfigured solutions.

One of these is the Activated NPS Solution, an all-in-one solution to improve customer satisfaction while reducing churn. With preconfigured surveys and forms from the Activated NPS Solution, teams can easily collect and monitor customer feedback and react to customers in real-time. Customer feedback is also integrated into systems and reports, so tracking customer feedback trends over time is easier.

Another ready-to-deploy solution that marketing and sales teams will benefit from is the Alchemer Customer Experience for Sales. Standard customer-centric processes are also centralized into a Sales Portal that’s accessible to sales reps. It ensures that data collected during discovery calls goes with the customer record across handoffs and through renewals.

Aside from improving processes for customer service, Alchemer can also help drive employee engagement and performance. PROS: Flexibility seen in surveys and how willing SG's people are in landing the best solutions for us is what makes this product great. Located close to Fort Collins, they were able to send one of their own peoiple to directly help us in terms of usage. I like how it can be accessed via smartphone/tablet without involving any app downloads. It's a worthy product for its price. We use it weekly for around 40 people.

CONS: When it comes to survey creation, there are plenty of tabs with options concealed. Those same options weren't as intuitive as I thought intially. Making reports/exporting data involves an overwhelming number of options. I'm not at all sure if I even see any differences between them.

PROS: It has a lots of online research tools. You pay an annual subscription and can use it without limitations

CONS: Lot´s of server issues and data losses. The offline mode is awfull and the customer service is slow and doesn´t solve their technical issues.

PROS: Once you have a concise idea on how the UI works, it's a fantastic product. I like how their microscopy works and how they showcase results after beginning to receive responses on the survey you made. They provide a wide range of options for surveys that couldn't be spootted anywhere else. For instance, you get to upload contacts by means of pre-defined data and utilizing this info for the survey done.

CONS: Its pricing is on the high-end. This isn't something worthy as a product organization that makes use of SurveyGizmo for a one month. The UI can be confusing at times. But after getting around it, you have a fair idea as to how it works.

PROS: SurveyGizmo happens to be the best survey tool in the market. I've dealt with other third party survey tools and nothing even comes close to SurveyGizmo. It happens to be the first SaaS platform I pushed for my CEO to go for without our startup steadily growing. So far, it's still a great tool to own.

CONS: Nothing much, really. Expect a bit of a learning curve in utilizing some of its intricate functionality. But for the most part, it's simple and does a great job in getting a lot of things done.

PROS: With SurveyGizmo, we're able to make and send survey to potential clients. We get to learn how they feel with our latest prodcuts while shraing links our survey to shoppers, employees, customers, and etc... to gathered our desired data. It helps us manage our surveys conveniently. It's able to make polls, quizzes, and surveys within minutes. It's user-friendly and assists in report sharing and generation.

CONS: At times, login via Google service wouldn't function. Maybe their devs should alter their focus on such issue. That would be a big improvement from them.

PROS: SurveyGizmo enabled us to create surveys that offer excellent insight in terms our customer and patron experience! There were other options online for doing reporting and survey creation, but I think this is a gem that works best in terms of functionality, ease of use, and value. We were able to make everything ranging from radio buttons to surveys (checkbox) to intricate surveys to customized question types. We were able to all these with ease and had help from tech support when we need them most.

CONS: Even with a lot of great things in SurveyGizmo, there were some quibbles with it. These are usually problems seen after using it frequently and extensively. For reporting: whenever you're making changes, you'll need to go through this by question and then waiting for the report to load up again before moving on to the next! For updates: they make a lot and that's both a good and a bad thing!

PROS: The interface is amazing once you get the hang of the product. After you know how it works and create your first survey, the system shows you how the responses are flowing in through a microcopy. This helps you to monitor the progress of the survey you have sent out. It also allows you to upload contact list in the system with information that will help you to carry out surveys. Apart from that, you can email those surveys and set up notifications when the responses come in and thus ease of monitoring of the results. If it is a closed survey, once the survey is done, you can filter the results by questions to compare and make the best decision moving forward. The customer support is also highly responsive which adds to its efficiency.

CONS: Despite the product working fine, it does not favor us in terms of the price. We only did one survey and paid for a full month subscription. It would be better if they had a special custom-plan for users who have few surveys so that you can get value for your money. Also, the interface is not that friendly when you are getting started. The free version, although free, it has most of its features locked, due to its free nature. This makes it difficult to learn how those features work for free which means you have to switch to the paid version. This can be time consuming and frustrating.

PROS: I love its UI. It's easy to make a questionnaire. The Help section is really useful. It didn't take a lot of time for me to start making my own questionnaire. There were some things I wasn't sure about in some areas (NPS, billing cycle, and etc..) but I ended up getting all the answers I need from the Help section without making a call to customer support.

CONS: I wouldn't say I hate everything about it. But it could use improvement in some areas. For instance, their billing cycle update shouldn't be set to "automatic" on default since each customer has different needs. Next, there has to be some kind of flexiblity when adding questions on the "Thank You" page. SurveyGizmo has the ability to control which kind of questions we should add, otherwise including details of contacts within the primary questionnaired might make it seem like such question is actually part of the questionnaire itself.

PROS: The user interface of the product is intuitive. It is attractive and offers a better view for the user to create surveys. The survey builder allows you to create questions with ease and send them out to your customers for a quick response. The themes look good and add a professional touch to your surveys when you create them. Since the layout is beautiful and easy to find your way around, you can get started right away and thus create a survey in a few hours. In short, everything is laid out in the open once you launch the product which makes your work easier.

CONS: It works fine for all other files. However, when dealing with audio files, it has problems when it comes to uploading them. I had to find a way around this so that I can get them into the system. I used the Soundcloud, where I had to host the audio files into the cloud and link the player with the survey tool to enable this. Although I was successful, the process was not that friendly. It took me a lot of time (days) and it was tiring as I had to survey more than 150 audio files. Also, when I retrieved the results, the question numbers on the PDF files were not well organized and I had to seek help from the support team to get things right. It is a good thing that their customer support is responsive and helpful in such situations.

PROS: We completely trust Survey Gizmo in doing our surveys. Since the launching of our business in 2009, we avoid playing around when dealing with surveys. Everything about the company is good: they know about the software, courteous, and friendly. We love doing business to local-based organizations and SurveyGizmo is the best we have (and it gets better everyday). We're amazed at how robust the platform became since we started from way back.

CONS: There's a not a single thing we hate about it. We rarely carry out complex survey work. But there's nothing else out there capable of meeting our present and future requirements. We want clients to get that burden off their backs and give Survey Gizmo a go!

PROS: It is a powerful survey tool as compared to other similar of its kind. We had to try out different survey tools with the trial version before we settled for SurveyGizmo. T is not only simple to use but also reliable in creating surveys. You can manage multiple surveys at a go without much hustle and achieve your objective with ease. It has a lot to go for in terms of the complexities it helps to solve. Whether you have a simple survey project or a complex one, it shows up every time. It does not require one to be a programmer to effectively utilize what it has to offer. We easily use its custom scripting language for our everyday work.

CONS: Although the updates to the tool help make it perform better, they can sometimes be frustrating. Imagine being used to a certain feature or way of doing things just to switch again to something new. The sudden switch to our comfort zone can be destabilizing but all in all change is good. It is a minor and may be unnecessary dislike as the team is trying to make the tool more reliable and helpful in terms of carrying out surveys.

PROS: It is intuitive from the start. The dashboard reveals everything about your survey and you can monitor its progress. It allows you to easily design survey questions in terms of how they should be and in what order. You can do just about anything when you are on the dashboard. It makes sure that the flow of your surveys is smooth. You can access, edit or create a new survey fast. If you want to create complex surveys SurveyGizmo allows you to do this with ease. You can add logic and also you can test the survey before sending it out there, which is a plus.

CONS: Although you can add logic to each question if you want a complex survey, it can be time-consuming and disappointing. There is no easier way to do it for all questions at once you have to do it for each question at a time which is boring. However, I have not asked for help on this part and there may be a way to go around it. It would be better if you could take less time to add logic to questions when creating surveys.

PROS: From how flexible it is to create surveys to the customer support experience it offers, we get the best of what it has to offer. Whenever we have a problem, we can depend on their technical team to sort us out in the shortest time possible. Since it is a local company as we are located in Fort Collins, they have assigned us one of their staff to personally help us reap the benefits of the tool. It is also mobile friendly as you can access the product via your Smartphone and thus create surveys or generate results on the go. It is also cost efficient when you are on a paid plan. Since we send out surveys to about 40 people weekly, when they increase the price remains the same and thus adding value to our department. Other departments have joined the bandwagon and are now using SurveyGizmo for their surveys.

CONS: It has a lot to offer, but sometimes it can be confusing. Although intuitive in most features, some of them are not and this can bring about problems. For example, the tabs on the system can be confusing. This happens when you have to choose from multiple tabs what you want and sometimes you may not find what you are looking for as it is hidden. It may take you a lot of time to scale through the tabs and what lies behind them. Also, for the case of reporting and exporting data, you are overwhelmed by the many options available as you do not know which one to use. It would be better if they made everything clear for one to easily find their way around.

PROS: We've trusted a majority of our survey job to SurveyGizmo since our business was launched in 2009. We can't afford to fool around whenever we do surveys. Everything about the company has been great. They're friendly, professional, and are experts at what they do.

CONS: There's not one thing I hate. We don't usually dab into intricate surveys. There's nothing better out there at the moment that can meet our present and future needs than SurveyGizmo. We suggest all clients to use this in getting that "monkey" off their back when it comes to doing surveys.

PROS: We have never come across a tool that offers reliable and professional survey services as SurveyGizmo does. We have used similar tools such as Qualtrics and Survey Monkey but none is close to what SurveyGizmo has to offer. From integration with Google Docs and Salesforce to the number of questions you can send out, SurveyGizmo has come on top. Whether you want to conduct simple or complex surveys, it offers reliable features for this. It is a one-stop-shop for all your survey needs. In short, you get the best of everything with the use of SurveyGizmo. As a start-up we are rest assured that this product is what we need to get ahead.

CONS: There is very little to say negative about the product. Its simplicity beats all as you can get started in a few hours, and create your first survey, with ease. However, it will take you time to learn how the complex part of the tool works in the case you want to conduct complex surveys. This is expected for any software and thus it should not be alarming. Once you get the hang of that, you can sail smoothly with conducting quality surveys. Despite the learning curve, you are good to go.

PROS: It has a simple user interface. You will be able to find your way around the tool with ease if you are beginner. The set up and creating of questions for your survey is easy. In short, the user experience is friendly. It has an attractive appearance and themes which allow for customization. Although limited, you can tailor the theme according to your needs. It also allows you to export data from other platforms and analyze it on the platform. After that, you can produce reports on the results and interpret them later depending on your objective.

CONS: Although adding logic is simple, it does not provide an easy way for one to do it unison. This can take a lot of time on your part. It would be nice if there was an easy way to validate the answers from the questions you get instead of doing it one by one. The reporting feature does not support Vietnamese which means that you have to do the translation on your own. This brings about unnecessary waste of time of translating the reports into English. Such language limitation can be corrected for future efficiency of the tool in reporting.

PROS: Survey programming is simple and straightforward. It's helpful whenever I'm need of launching something quick. It does a good job in helping me showcase to other people how they should be doing their own survey launching. I like their reporting feature.

CONS: Their reporting feature is nice. But I was hoping there was some kind of viewer functionality where a user can log in to see results instead of getting e-mails with reports. When it comes to intricate conditioning, the programming appears to be clunky. It would appear that the "if then" should require programming that would lead to fewer steps. And there shouldn't be any involvement of separate pages within the tool.

PROS: SurveyGizmo has a clean and user-friendly UI. Its dashaboard makes it possible to evaluate how your latest surveys have fared. It lets you edit, view, and make new surveys. Adding in complex logic is intuitive and easy to deploy. I've yet to try anything complex since nothing is required of me (yet), but I wouldn't hesitate to give the software a chance since I expect the process to be really simple.

CONS: One downer that I've seen with this software is that the inclusion of logic into questions can be a bit repetitive. I would hold up my hands and say I haven't asked for any of them if there was an easier approach, but I constantly see myself entering the edit mode for each question and including the same logic for every single one. This can be annoying. But at the same time, the process involved in the logic inclusion is simple.

PROS: As long as you know a little bit about technical stuff and have some learned a bit of researching in school, then this platform can be the easiest thing to utilize. I'm currently working as a content writer. My database admin capabilities and computer programming skills are very limited. This software has the capacity to meet our small-to-mid-sized company's needs.

CONS: Since we're dealing with more than one sales divisions, we wanted to include logic into our questions. I made a suggestion to use SG in letting users do question editing responses by bulk. That way, the show/hide logic can be set up. Aside from that, there's really nothing much to complain about its functionality.

PROS: I've been making use of Survey Gizmo for varying survey-building requirements. I mainly utilize it in hosting a report form that social scientists can report for any observations made.I like the fact that the surveys can function in both PCs and mobile devices. I love how the analytics reports are being generated.

CONS: I was hoping there's an option in auto-populating a survey consisting of geographic coordinates of the user's location. I'm hoping they would allow something like that to happen.

PROS: I like how easy it is in creating a survey. "Canned" reports happen to be clear and offering fantastic visuals. I like having the option to export data for the purpose of internal reviews. With my team growing, being able to manage work through teams makes home screeen exploration a lot simpler.

CONS: I'm currently employed in the healthcare industry. I can't utilize Survey Gizmo in conducting patient surveys or acquire confidential data as a result of their security policies anf privacy features.

PROS: You can depend on this tool for whatever survey related issues. If you want to come up with attractive surveys that paint a clear image of what your customers think of your product, then SurveyGizmo is the way forward. T has an intuitive interface with great customer support. If you have any problems with using the tool, you can reach out and support will be at your disposal. There was this one time where the system had problems and I reached out to their support team. Help was provided where they directed me on how to go about overcoming the problem for the meantime. After a couple of weeks, they made a follow-up on the same issue with the same representative to inform me that they have debugged the glitch and everything is normal now. It does not get any better than that.

CONS: Upgrades can sometimes be a nuisance like the one they did with the reporting feature. It came with many problems that threatened to slow down how fast you can conduct your surveys. The new reporting feature had issues but I was able to reach out to their support team and get the help I needed. It is a good thing that they have the best customer support service as I was able to do my work without any major glitches with the help of a customer support representative.

PROS: It is an easy to use tool which offers countless features to help you out in creating and managing surveys. We are able to communicate with our customers effectively and learn about how they view our products. When you compare it with other related tools in the market, SurveyGizmo stands out the best of all. You get the best value for your money once you use sit for your surveys. From simple to complex surveys, this tool has given us the best user experience as we can design those questions the way we want them to appear to our customers in the form of surveys. All this is done with ease, and in the case where you may need help, the technical support is highly responsive to our queries. It has what you need, whether you are a starter or an expert in carrying out surveys.

CONS: There are two aspects that did not impress me much with this product; the reporting and update sections. For the former, when you try to edit or filter a report such that it shows you results based on the ID or answers the respondents have given, it can be tiring and frustrating. You have to make those changes or edits in every question at a time. If there was a way to do it uniformly for all questions of that caliber it would save a lot of time and effort. However with a fast PC, you can do this at home and save time on the same. Although the updates are good for the performance of the product, they can alter things and put you in stalemate for example, if the updates come into effect, they may change how the menu appears which means you have to locate the menu all over again which can slow down how you do things.

PROS: If you know a bit of tech and have gone through some research experience in school, then that's all you really need to use SurveyGizmo. I'm a content writer with very limited database admin and programming experience. This platform is capable of meeting my small/medium-sized company requirements. It wasn't a big issue training colleagues in accessing survey data or creating basic surveys. We like how it's capable of copying surveys for testing new functionality, its drag-and-drop foramtting, and question bank.

CONS: Since we're operating with a number of sales divisions, we had to integrate plenty of logic in our questions. I made a suggestion for SG to let users do a majority of responses to questions so hidden/shown logic can be made. Other than that, there's nothing else to complain about.

PROS: Since 2009, SurveyGizmo has been our partner in terms of carrying out surveys. Apart from producing professional and conclusive results, it is friendly and offers maximum potential for our survey work. The customer support is top notch as problems can be addressed quickly and with a follow up on the same. Over the years, it has made the product better by adding new features and functionalities to help make our work easier. It is a local company and we trust working with local companies. We can say that we are in a better place with SurveyGizmo and we cannot ask for a better one.

CONS: We speak for ourselves that with so many years working with SurveyGizmo, we take pride in what they have to offer. There is little or no to dislike about this product. So far, we cannot single out one thing we did not like about the tool. Although our survey projects are not complex, this tool is able to fully meet our need and that is all we can ask for. If you are looking for simple and effective survey tool, SurveyGizmo is the way to go and that is what we preach to our clients to adopt.

PROS: SurveyGizmo offers a crispy clean UI. It's also user-friendly. The dashboard makes it really simple in observing how well your latest surveys are performing. It lets you peek or edit a survey, and even help you draft a new one.

CONS: The only downside to this is that including logic to questions tend to be repetitive thing. I did what I could to ask them if there's an alternative way, but I frequently see myself heading into editing mode for each question in adding the same logic in. This is a frustrating process since it's quite repetitive. At the same time, the steps in including a logic is simple enough, so it's not really that big of an issue for a majority of surveys being done.

PROS: Right now, Survey Gizmo is the best tool to have ever existed. I've been using other tools like it in the market and they all fail in comparison to SurveyGizmo. It also happened to be the first SaaS platform I recommendeded to my CEO. We still feel it's the best tool today for our growing startup. Its types of questions, high-level functionality, and integration with other tools is what makes it stand out in the crowded survey tool market.

CONS: Nothing much to hate, to be honest. Expect a big learning curve when using some of its complex features. But for a majority of what you'll be doing, it's simple. It does an outstanding job in getting things done.

PROS: SurveyGizom tremedously helped us in making surveys that gave significant insight in our customer and patron experience. There are a number of options available online for survey building and reporting. But I think this tool is the best when it comes to use, features, and overall value. We're able to make just about anything with its whether it's radio buttons, checkbox surveys, and customized questions. It's a great choice if you happen to be making surveys for the very first time!

CONS: While there plenty of nice things with SurveyGizmo, it does have its shared tech downers. These issues can be seen after constant and extended use. Its reporting functionality has some odd quirks that significantly slows down the work process especially when switching to a format on how answers will end up being displayed in the summary report. In terms of updates, they update and change things frequently, which is a good and bad thing (the good: older issues are resolved; and the bad: menus/elements are changed or moved someplace else).
