What is Google Slides?

Google Slides is a part of the business applications portfolio G Suite that enables users to create, edit, and feature presentations via the cloud. Simple and very straightforward, Google Slides is now a popular online presentation tool used by various user types. All you need to have is a Google account and you are good to go. There is no need for you and your organization to invest on additional hardware or install a software to operate Google Slides.

For businesses and large organizations, a business version of Google Slides is available, with more premium features and capabilities. Google Slides comes with tons of functionalities and massive integration options to help simplify business processes, including presentations, communications, and collaboration.

Overview of Google Slides Benefits

Google Slides simplifies the way businesses and individuals present their ideas, convey their points, or elaborate their plans and schedules among others. As a web-based presentation application, Google Slides doesn’t require users to purchase and setup additional drives and other hardware nor does the tool demand that you install a software in your existing system. It works from the get go and it is easy to use right off the bat.

It is a presentation application that doesn’t hurt your company’s budget. Google Slides offers very affordable packages that pack a punch when it comes to capabilities and features. With massive storage, you don’t have to worry about running out of space for your documents, videos, and audio files.

As part of the G Suite set of applications, Google Slides is built to work seamlessly with the rest of Google’s applications, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, and the rest. That means you can easily share and instantaneously edit Google Drive documents on the go.

Google Slides is simply perfect for collaboration. You can easily bring in anyone on your file, work on the same documents while using the same version of Google Slides. Collaboration is significantly enhanced because everyone is on the same page, using the same tool.

Whether you on the office or on the field, you can create, share, and collaborate on your presentations anytime, anywhere, using any device. Making your presentation from your iPhone or Android device is very much aruond the corner. This flexibility is one of the Google Slides strongest points as people don’t need to be on their office desks to create stunning and convincing presentations to their colleagues, bosses, supervisors, and stakeholders.

It's crucial to note that hardly any service in the Collaboration Software category is going to be a perfect solution able to fulfill all the needs of various business types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few Google Slides reviews first as some solutions might dominate exclusively in a really narrow group of applications or be created with a very specific type of industry in mind. Others might work with a goal of being easy and intuitive and consequently lack complicated functions needed by more experienced users. You can also come across services that cater to a large group of customers and provide a powerful feature set, however that frequently comes at a more significant price of such a software. Be certain that you're aware of your needs so that you choose a software that provides all the features you search for.

Pros:
Google Slides stands out for us for a variety of reasons. It lets us collaborate and present anytime, anywhere, on any device whether you are accessing it through a computer, a smartphone, or a tablet. So you can review and edit slides even if you're on the go. It is also a capable tool; the templates and fonts that it offers can make even the most simple presentation stand out. Product support from Google has also been superb.

Cons:
Sometimes we experience these weird latency issues between the time we type and for another to see the output on their machine. It has also been a challenge for us getting used to the sharing system, although we have come to get used to it after using the system at least a couple of times. Also, some slides feel a bit too common and the feeling of variety or uniquesness gets lost, though there is an option to import templates that may fit one's preferences.

Pros:
Google Slides is great collaboration feature, we can work simultaneously on same project from anywhere and we can even interact with each other in a side bar so we can be sure that everyone is following. This is great solution for sharing and presenting information with one another.

Cons:
To speak the truth, PowerPoint has more features than GoogleSlides, so for some purposes I have to download PowerPoint in order to finish the presentation and to make it good-looking.
