PROS: I have had a wonderful experience both personal and professional from hiring to processing payroll. The customer support replies quickly and they are always courteous. The support team makes me feel welcome whether through call or in person in their office. It is great using APS.

CONS: I have no complains so far because the customer support team are always quick to assist whenever there's an issue.

PROS: The outstanding feature of this app is that it has the option to pull reports through self-serve. All supervisors can also use the software reporting feature. Also, it's simple and easy to navigate. The automatic system is important especially when a customer is switching from a manual process.

CONS: The disadvantage with APS is that the reporting feature in APSonline is not very accurate which is frustrating when you need to process payroll for students or staff. We chose APS because we thought that payroll, time and attendance would be efficient and easier but it's not that way.

PROS: The most outstanding part of this software is that it is very user-friendly and it's not over-complicated. There is a lot of information available in one database, which is really helpful. Also, the document manager feature is very useful when you need to get employee signatures or when communicating company-wide documents. The report manager makes it easy to develop reports through the templates or even when you need to make one from scratch.

CONS: Sometimes the software becomes unresponsive especially during a period of heavy usage. Nevertheless, you can easy fix that with a simple refresh (Ctrl+F5).

PROS: I love the fact that it is very easy to use. Also, the customer support at APS is excellent. I'm very impressed with APS because it is easy to teach even beginners to leverage payroll software with zero experience how to use it and access and review data.

CONS: APS has only one data field (Base Location) and you can't add new locations. It would be better if I could do that myself without the need to contact customer support.

PROS: I like the fact that I can have my payroll system available to me online wherever I am because APS makes it easy to process payroll easily if have to be away from the office. Second, they have a helpful customer service staff who respond quickly whenever we need assistance. Third, it has a user friendly platform which is easy to use and needs little training for beginners. Fourth, it is easy and quick to process scheduled payroll batches. Fifth, when we need to process payroll checks immediately, we can use easily use the manual prepay function. Lastly, we also use it effortlessly to process year end tax reporting.

CONS: There are no major issues with APS. They have fixed the major complaint that I had before where I could not review net check amounts before releasing a payroll batch for processing, but it has been fixed.

PROS: The best part about this app is their supportive customer care team. The management has assigned one person to our company which makes it easier to follow up. The representative is well versed with our company and our issues and usually sorts out our issues within an hour or two. Working with APS is very easy and quick. Moreover, the cost is 30% less than our previous service provider.

CONS: There are occasional issues with both our digital hand clocks and PC based log in timekeeping.

PROS: I like the fact that our account representative is always available or calls back quickly. Also, the initial setup for basic payroll services is very easy. Moreso, there are frequent updates where they add new features which enhance the system.

CONS: I found the Affordable Care Act difficult to setup and to maintain. I also wish that it was easy to mark certain employees as full time, and have another separate checkbox for "Include in ACA Variable Hour." I also dislike that the E-SelfServe user names are preset to numbers and employees cannot change the username.

PROS: I like the simplicity of the APS software. It is quick and easy to use when you want to submit payroll. Another thing is that E-self serve is efficient and easy to use for our employees and supervisors.

CONS: What I don't like with APS is that we don't have visibility to back end formulas for some items like vacation accruals, so we can't check for accuracy what's underlying. Moreover, you can't go back and look at accruals at points in time because vacation accrual is only real-time.

PROS: What I like most is the excellent customer support that APS offers compared to other companies. I have a direct account representative who I contact via email and I always get an answer or a solution to my problem within a day. I also like that the software is user friendly. It was easy to use and I didn't need training to use it. Morever, they always make great updates. I'm impressed by the manager self-service functionality which they introduced this month that will make our processes and staff so much better.

CONS: The time off module needs some improvement to work better. Also, sometimes reporting can be tricky to navigate at first and you need to learn to figure it out. Lastly, the accruals are incorrect at times and sometimes our staff find it difficult to know how much time they have available.

PROS: I like the fact that APS have a responsive and supportive customer service team. APS has been a go to solution for our company for over 5 years because its cost and service superceeds other payroll software. The platform is easy to navigate and this makes it easy to use. I am pleased with their service.

CONS: They no longer offer the small business package unlike before, which I liked very much because it worked really well for my start-up clients.
