For small offices and teams, the database sharing is set to allow agents share the same database with their partners or assistants.  The agent’s account serves as the master account, and the agent can limit the assistant’s access to the database.

As an example, the assistant can see the prospects coming into  the agent’s account; but he or she is not permitted to view the expenses and income stored in the database. Partners can have full access to the database.

On the other hand, the database sharing configuration for large offices or teams is set for brokers who are supervising multiple agents. In this configuration, the agents have their own databases assigned to them; and the broker can access all the accounts and databases of the agents from the broker’s account. The broker can see the activities performed  by the agent for the assigned database.

As an example, the agent will only be able to access and work on the prospects/leads assigned to him or her. The broker, then, will see the emails, phone calls,  and printed letters made by the agent to nurture those leads.
