ActivTrak Review

PROS: I love how this program offers a free trial so you don’t have to jump in and subscribe to anything you’re not ready for. There’s also a pretty reliable reporting system that lets you track you and your team’s productivity levels.

CONS: I wish that we’d be allowed to move around and/or rename the categories and subcategories. The environment isn’t as user-friendly as it should be also.

PROS: I can check in on my employees’ activities without them knowing. It’s so subtle--I love it!

CONS: I have to do manual rounds to make sure that some PCs are still hooked to the tracker. There are times when my monitoring device would get interrupted and I’d have to reconnect the user to continue tracking their activities.

PROS: The screenshots that this program provides has allowed me to make sure that they are putting in the grunt work, as they should. The tool itself has a pretty simple layout that one can easily navigate in too.

CONS: I like how there is a trial version. However, we weren’t able to use it for long because it had a really small storage space.

PROS: I like to maintain a level of leniency within our company, and so I don’t mind my employees looking at other non work-related websites during work hours. However, what I do love about Activtrak is that it tells me how long employees spend their time browsing the Net. With this information, I can determine if its worth calling out or not.

CONS: I have to do random checks to make sure that all computers are hooked to Activtrak. There had been times when some users had been disconnected and I was not informed.

PROS: Activtrak allows you to keep tabs on your employees without the unnecessary breach of their data. Passwords and other private dealings are still kept untapped, which is a display of good faith on our part. However, I do like how I am able to make sure that my employees are working on their assigned tasks. I can get an overview of their daily activities without having to closely monitor each one of them.

CONS: Securing licenses can be quite tricky.

PROS: The reports are really detailed. They plot the amount of time our workers spend on particular sites.

CONS: We have to pay for a license for each PC. The amount for this quickly adds up and we can no longer afford it.

PROS: You’re here, it probably means that you’re looking for a software that will help you track your employees during work hours. Well, I’m just going to cut the search short for you: you won’t find a better software that Activtrak. It has everything you need in a tracking software--the screenshots capabilities, the timer, the capacity to block websites for your users. You won’t have a hard time using this program too. Everything will be right within reach. If you do come across any issue, you can depend on their support staff for assistance as well.

CONS: I don’t think I have anything negative to say about Activtrak.

PROS: With Activtrak monitoring my employees’ Internet activities, I can make sure that I get my money’s worth from them. I can easily restrict their access on certain websites, take random screenshots of their screens, and even get a report of their efficiency levels. This may seem tyrannical, but at least I know that they are not “sleeping on the job,” as one may say.

CONS: I really don’t have any major complaints about this program. Probably the only thing I would change about it is the time that it takes in between screenshots. Even better, I’d like the option to record the screen of my employees to 100% make sure that they are doing what they are supposed to do. I feel that some still sneak in non-work related browsings in between screenshots.

PROS: Activtrak helps me be more accountable and productive. I use it mostly to make sure that the hours I render at work are the right amount. Nobody likes to be monitored, but if you’re honest, then you should have nothing to worry about.

CONS: There are some websites that I can’t label properly. For example, I need to access a specific work-related website, but I’m not able to do so because of the restrictions.

PROS: We’ve thoroughly pitted this program against other similar solutions, and decided to go with Activtrak for its wide-reach and robustness. For its price, you get far more benefits than its competition.

CONS: I think I might have some ideas on how this program can still be improved on. For one, there should be a button on the dashboard that gives us a quick glance on the operations. I think that we should be assigning admins within users too--and while we’re at it, we should be allowed to assign roles to each user as to restrict access and view. There should be a quicker response-time from the program too whenever I click on a user to view his/her screen.

PROS: The reports that I’ve been able to generate from this tool has given me a pretty solid idea on the productivity levels of my employees. The task reports are particularly useful as well.

CONS: I’m still learning the ins and outs of this program. So far, I’m really impressed with its capabilities.

PROS: I don’t know where to begin, to be honest. There are a lot of great features, but my favorite so far has been the screenshots that it takes throughout the work day.

CONS: When it comes to pricing, this program doesn’t seem to be a fit to the needs and budget of smaller companies. However, the trial version can be quite useful if the needs and usage are kept at a minimum.

PROS: This program has been able to successfully weave its data into an understandable and complete narrative that gives me insight about my employees--where they are on specific projects and how they handle their tasks.

CONS: One thing that this program does for me is to allow me to monitor my employees. However, I don’t like how some of my workers are able to switch off their tracking devices when they use an extension from Chrome. I hope that the developers would take down this extension ASAP. Other than this issue, I really don’t have much to complain about.

PROS: Activtrak does its job well without being too complicated. It’s simple and direct, which I love.

CONS: We’ve been intermittently experiencing glitches in Activtrak’s system. There are some pages that don’t seem to load properly. We’ve escalated this issue to tech support, but we haven’t gotten a proper resolution yet.

PROS: There has been quite a number of tracking programs that I have used, but Activtrak really takes the cake when it comes to the number of benefits that it offers. I love that it’s very unobtrusive and inconspicuous too. One would not know that this program is running in the background because it does not cause the computer to slow down or exhibit any signs of being monitored, whatsoever. Installing this on various devices had not been a problem too. Well, we might have encountered an issue or two bit that had quickly been remedied by their competent tech team. I’ve been really discovering more and more benefits from this program and if you’re in the market for a similar solution, you should give Activtrak a try too!

CONS: I like pretty much everything about Activtrak. The program has been really reliable so far.

PROS: What’s best about this program is that it is free. . .well, for me and my 3-man team, at least. I think it’s great how this program offers free services for really small teams.

CONS: I’m not sure if this is a glitch in the program, but each of us have access to admin user accounts. However, we can’t seem to use this account as an admin because we automatically get logged as users, thus firing up the tracking program on our PCs.
